Your Desires Deserve

Why are you making it so hard
Keeping your lonely heart on guard
You want to get me down on my knees
To help you decide to become free

I’m too tired to try and play the game
Tit for tat is never quite the same
It’s time to come down on your own
Off your towering self-absorbed throne

This is our last chance before I leave
Let me turn back for you to see
Here I am giving my hand and heart
Your desires deserve a new start

    Whoa. Love is not one constantly contriving ways for the other to prove how much they love. No matter how much you give, if the other heart is not truly open they won’t receive. Nicely penned Michael.
