Orange’s Heart

The spray from the peels was acrid, and stung our eyes
But the juice of the orange turned to pulp and dried
The texture and coloring were quite firm and bright
Funny how we rely on, just feelings and sight

  5. This was a great poem for me to read after a 12 day fast, I know I will appreciate the next orange I pick up. Good job of putting the senses int a poem.
