Duplicities Border

The castoff pools in the gutterLark in The Park
Beating rain rolls over his skin
Coughing, spewing with a sputter
Heavy lids hiding a soul dim

Evil wicked days his wish away
If the rain could wash his dark heart
His soul lines gutters this day
So that I might lark in the park

  3. Definitely a bit on the dark side with this one. I love the imagery in that first stanza. Mine is here. http://razzamadazzle.wordpress.com/2011/02/01/footprints/

  4. I like your subtle rhyming here. Perhaps you should offer your poor friend in the gutter a cuppa java to warm his soggy heart. sounds like he needs that & a hug.
