Tuna Casserole and a 3 Dill Pickle Dream?

The moon’s shadow reflects the Blackness forming in my heart.
The tempo of my heels attempts to sooth my rage of discontent,
On the cold unyielding cement.

The night air cooling the flush of my skin radiating
Desperation, exasperation and perspiration.

Struggling between betrayal, anger and tears.
What has come up on me is my greatest fear;
Your love for another is made perfectly clear.

You left our unmade bed and a broken condom behind,
On a sweat soaked pillow that used to be mine.

    • Not appropriate for me to mention, but I fell in love with those eyes of yours.. OK back to reality.. Smiles.. Woke up, had the sweats.. bad dream.. and this picture would not leave me alone and had this on paper in minutes. I’m glad you enjoyed it..

    • Totally agree, something milder from now on. Must skip the dairy as much as I like it! Plus the sun had dried out the yard so I wasn’t able to soak my feet in the mud.. sigh… My family used to manufacture typewriters in Syracuse, NY. Thanks for the comments and for the visit!

    Last line was the clincher. Well written.

  14. This is amazing. Especially the juxtaposition between the funny, everyday title and the passionate, desperate poem. Well done.

    • It was one I HAD to put to pen. I admit the title was meant to draw the unsuspecting; as it’s not a comfortable subject. Thanks for visiting! Gratitude accepted and given!
